About MCaFHNA

The Maternal, Child and Family Health Nurses Australia (MCaFHNA) organisation is the peak professional body for nurses working in the field of maternal, child and family health.  We aim to promote and advocate for optimal health and wellbeing of young children and their families in their communities through the specialty of maternal, child and family health nursing.

We undertake a range of activities including: 

  • Representing and advocating to influence policy and practice in the area of maternal, child and family health nursing; 

  • Developing and promoting best practice standards; 

  • Promoting and facilitating education, professional development and networking opportunities for those working in the area of maternal, child and family health nursing; 

  • Collaborating with other groups and organisations; 

  • Initiating and supporting research activities.
